Women In Time Change History

Atlanta Exhibition of Gao Feng's Worship Heaven: A Naxi/Dongba Genesis Tale
with
Naxi Artifacts, Dongba Writing Workbooks for Children, and photographs of Lijiang by Ed Krebs,
at
Douglas County Art and Culture Center sponsored by US-China People's Friendship Association and curated by Laura Lieberman, May 1 - 29, 2006

In the fall of 2005, the Krebs introduced Lieberman to Peggy Roney, President of the Atlanta Chapter of the U.S.-China People's Friendship Association, which agreed to sponsor the exhibition in the spring of 2006.

This show included new Gao Feng drawings in the Kreb collection, workbooks he and Kunming teachers had created to teach children to write Dongba, and Naxi artifacts, even a Naxi woman's traditional dress.
The Atlanta exhibition of Naxi Traditional Culture was enriched by the Museum's presenting  Xiao Ang Qin, then studying Urban Design at Georgia Tech,  at a special educational forum where she spoke of her work as an architect and planner in Yunnan.
