In the fall of 2005, the Krebs introduced Lieberman to Peggy Roney, President of the Atlanta Chapter of the U.S.-China People's Friendship Association, which agreed to sponsor the exhibition in the spring of 2006.

| The Atlanta exhibition of Naxi Traditional Culture was enriched by the Museum's presenting Xiao Ang Qin, then studying Urban Design at Georgia Tech, at a special educational forum where she spoke of her work as an architect and planner in Yunnan.
